Kinda Slow week... But speeding back up!

This week was not as Crazy as i thought it was going to be...

We ended Up only..doing one Senior Community Center and a Sunday Morning.
But I did book, book the Community Center so that is always cool to go to the booking that you booked. Sunday..we did get to Perform on a real stage so that was kinda cool we never get to that! The Church was re-doing there Main Church, so we got to be in there Worship Hall and they have a stage in there with a backstage and everything! We did there 1st services, then there Sunday School, then there 2nd Services, so we had a full day! We spent the rest of the day doing paper work and after went to the Church Pot-luck where we got to listen to a Bell Choir, that was kinda of cool!

Today, we did another nursing home. It was a nursing home that we did in the Start of this mission! So... it was kinda of cool to go back to some places we have already been! But that's been basically are week.

Are up coming shows are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, Monday !
Sunday is going to be different because we have 3 shows on Sunday at the same time! This means that we have the other team from Chesapeake covering one, while kinda the UL and another Unit Member from that team are covering 1, then Suzy and Don our covering another 1, then Larry, Me and the other Unit member from the other team covering 1! So please pray for our Sunday!
Monday is our last day of shows we have a prison in the Morning then a nursing home in the afternoon!
Tuesday i head home, Also keep in your prayers Safely to the Airport for me because i have to take a train to the Airport. Please Pray i don't get lost, i tend to do that a lot!

Thank You for Prayers for this Mission its been a huge blessing! I have Loved being in this Area and to go from a 2 person unit to a 4 person unit has been a blessing as well! God has been so good this mission!

I'm Back... but not For long! Only 14 days left of Mission!

Hey EVERYBODY!!!

I'm So sorry about me not writing every Saturday anymore, i just can't find Internet that much in the Farm land of New Jersey! But When i do i make sure all Post to You all! Thank You for the few that have stuck wit me and keep checking back if I've posted anything!

Any way, These past few weeks have been crazy! I have been to several Nursing homes, done some Steeple Chasing, been to a BROADWAY PLAY and have been to the ER! I think these past 2 weeks just topped the crazy list of Crazy weeks in CP!

Starting from the top, Sunday the 17th! Wow what a Sunday Show, Suzy the other girl on my team left to go home for the weekend for her Grandma's 80th b-day/ Family Reunion! While the day after (Friday) she left i got really sick (the perfect time to..yeah right!) My eye got really red and burned and i felt really Hot and just not well at all! It got to the point where i could not see but an outline of people and shapes! So Saturday my Boss took one look at me and said i was going to the ER! So i went, when i walked in i told them who i was and where i had been the past few Days that i had been in Queens (they have had several cases of swan flu there)! They put a mask on me while i waited for an hour in the ER to get looked at! Come to find out I just had the normal Flu and had scratched my eye some how! While they gave me some Eye drops and sent me on my way, but i still felt like Crap! So Sunday Show i wasn't going to be at my best and i wasn't I did 2 plays and the guys handled the rest! Don the new missioner on our unit handled it so well, i was so proud of him! It went off great and the Church was so sweet to me and took care of me so well! But these past to weeks i have been getting better! I have one and off days with my eyes, some days i can wear contacts and some days i got around blind (glasses are broken) So that was just the Start of my week! I missed several shows after that getting better Monday and Tuesday!

But Wednesday, That was the best day ever! We had a School Show in the Morning then had the After Noon off Cuz I FINALLY GOT TO SEE A BROADWAY PLAY!!!! That's right and not just any Broadway Play GUYS AND DOLLS!!!Larry my Unit leader had a friend who had some coupons for the show! So we got 3rd ROW CENTER for $90! It was Awesome!!! I had so much fun! We spent four hours before the show just walking around in NYC then had to the Theater! It was the best day ever!!!! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I feel so blessed that God worked it out so we could go see a Show! We were really worried because of how much money it was we weren't going to get to! But WE did and i feel like I've had the FULL New York City Trip! I Love it here there just so much life!

Ok, So after that high of going to a Broadway play we had a slow week ahead with only 2 nursing home shows and No Sunday! But We went out Steeple Chasing but go nothing! So far this mission that makes it 2 Sunday that we have not had a show! Which is not bad at all! Its just kinda of a bummer thing at the end of mission not to have a Sunday wit a Show!

Coming UP! There only 14 days left of this Mission! We have 13 shows of the 14 day we have left, so to say the lest we are CRAZY busy!We have the Chesapeake Unit coming and help us with our double bookings (2 shows that we've booked on the same day)! So that should be fun to Hang out with a another unit on the last week of mission! I fly to Texas the 9th of June! I will be in Lawton around the 11th or 12th for all you Lawton friends out there!

Prayers to left up Please! My Health for these next 2 weeks with my Eyes and Body! Also i just working together with my unit with all the stress and stuff! Then with getting Lines down, its really hard to stay focused when You Can't wait to see all ur family and Friends!

I'm So Sorry!

Wow I have been the Worst Blog Writer over the past few weeks! I'm Sorry its just been a crazy tired long No internet few weeks!

So um... Between when i wrote last we had a PD with Schools, Nursing Homes, and Churches!

All Just tell you all about our last 3 Sundays to keep this blog some what short!
Last Sunday we went up to New York to another units Area! We only Cover NYC not the State But we went up to Upstate New York were farm Land is! We Performed at a little White Church out in the Country! Which also Has a radio show on Thursday that we got to be apart of they taped Larry and asked him Some questions about CP, it was great PR!

Then this Sunday we had Nothing, so we went out looking Sunday Morning and found a Small Baptist Church Were They had us do a small play on Mothers day! Then they asked to come back to there night services and do another longer play! But there Night Services was with 3 other churches, also great PR! From that Night Services We Got to More Shows for later this month and next mission!

We have been greatly blessed this mission in having a Show every Sunday but the 1st Sunday of Mission! Please Pray that we keep this up as the end of tour is coming!

By the Way this Mission will be Ending June 9th and i will be flying "home" to Texas then!

With this Mission Closing up so quickly i will have been in CP for A Year and out of High School for a Year, which is so crazy to Me! Its been going by so fast!

I would Also like to ask some of you about Maybe Supporting me during the Summer of training! Our Summer training is a little over a month and we do not work or get paid during that time! Uh...I can Barely keep my eyes open!

Sunday- Wow thank you all for Praying, I needed it so much! I'm just thankful i had that because i think it would have gone even worse if it wasn't for you all! But O man it was bad!!! By Far the Worse show i have ever done in my life! Let me just tell u that i have done some bad shows but this tops the cake of BAD SHOWS! I Forgot almost all the lines and just chocked up on stage and forgot what i was doing, which i have forgotten lines before but i have never chocked up before! It was just really bad, i mean really bad!!! That is a play that I'm happy is only a one time a year play.. because i never wanna do it again!
But anyway some how people got the massage out of it, it's shocking what God can do with our mess ups! That is one thing in CP I've learned a lot about! When it comes down to it, you can do the best show in the world but if Gods not in it people can walk out with nothing to learn! Then there is other times where u BLOW IT BIG TIME, but people walk out really blessed! God is Amazing that's it, He can do all things!
But after our show we went to pick up my computer, which i am now typing on! YAAA! It works, but as i feared all my pictures, music, and videos are gone! Which is really sad, that's what happens when your hard drive dies! So if any of u have Pictures of me or us fill free to send them to Thesamsmith@gmail.com! But the one thing that's weird when i got my computer back is the lower case "c" on my Key broad don't really work right! So i have to take it back to get them to fix that, because right now i am copying and paste the letter every time i want to use it which is a lot and its annoying!

Monday- We performed for some people in wheel chairs and others behind Bars! That's right in the morning we had a nursing home in NJ (which everything was in NJ this week)! Then we had the 2nd prison show at the prison that we were at last week! This time we did it for the long time inmates and the Sex offenders! Which was different but the guys were all really nice and none of them made me feel weird! Most that come to the Chapel programs have turned around there lives to God in there, so they were all pretty nice and respectful! But there was 7 men that got saved that night which was such a blessing to be apart of!

Tuesday- Was another Nursing home in NJ! Which we did the same program for all the nursing homes this week! So not much to tell there!

Wednesday- We had kinda of a slow morning with line learning and rehearsal! But we had another show at the prison around 7:30 pm! This time it was for the general population! Which 3 guys got saved which was another blessing on top of Mondays! So cool to be apart of that always! Which the chapel said that his bible study class had doubled sense we were there on Friday!

Thursday- We went to the Baptist Nursing home on the Cost line of NJ, which was so pretty! Which was where the actives director that use to be in CP worked! So it was fun to meet up with her! Then we headed to Wild Wood which is this cute little town on the cost! But we meet up with our contact for Friday and stayed in a hotel that the church owned!

GOOD Friday- We awoke at 8:30am and headed to the church at 9am! Then we rehearsed till 11am and started our show at noon and ended at 3pm! It was a 3 hour services where they covered the 7 last words of Christ and we did a 10 min show in between each! It was for all the lay leaders and Pastors in the area! Very different kind of services then i have ever seen before !
Then after that we headed about an hour away to another church where we did 2 plays for there night services! Then after the Service i meet up with a girl that i had called earlier in the week who might want to join CP! It was so cool it was the 1st time that i called someone and they showed up! HER NAME IS ROBIN! Keep her in your prayers, please! Then the church put us up in a hotel!

Saturday- We performed at the Easter egg hunt with the Salvation Army which we our also doing there main service on Sunday! That was fun seeing all the Kids running around!

So that's been our LONG and Very tiring week! We have a Sun raise program 2morow where i have to wake at 5am!!!!!! AAAAA! I have to head to bed soon, its getting late! O by the Way another cool thing happened this week! My Chapel that had the 1st CP'ers i saw in 8th grade come to my youth group, i got to talk to her on the phone! I came in contact with her last year, thank her for having CP! She sent me an email back saying that she was so happy and wanted to know how to book them with her now in California! So.. to cut the story short Now our team in CA our at her Church 2morow, for Easter Sunday! Which is so cool!
This has been a crazy BLESSing of a week! It has showed me a whole new way of looking at HOLY WEEK and EASTER! I think with going to all these different denominations it made me look at it so differently! I thank GOD for that, because some times holidays just become the same every year!

Sunday- We started out our week in the coutry of NJ in Stanhope at a Presbyterian church! The show went so well, the crowd really enjoyed us! After church we went and watched old movies and did some fellowship with our host and workers from the church! It was lots of fun we played Wii and ate!

Monday-was an early morning heading out to Brooklyn where we had a PD at a nursing home on Coney Island! It was cool cuz we got to meet a guy that use to be an actor in the 70's and had done about 5 movies, really cool! Then after the show we headed to our host to use the time to work on 2morows shows!

Tuesday- we had a youth group in Brooklyn at a Lutheran Church! We didn't have the show until 7pm so we worked away on lines for the Morning! But as we were working one of my Unit members Dropped my Computer! So to say the lest I was not very happy when I found that
it would not turn back on! Yup.. But we went on with the show and it played out very well!

Wednesday- April Fool's day, always a fun day! Well I didn't pull any huge pranks on anyone just my mother, but u'll have to ask her about that! Love ya, mom! Any who, our PD that we had cancelled and moved to a different day! Which was sad cuz I booked that show, but was good cuz it made time to go to an Apple Store, to fix my computer! Which when I got there they said it was covered so I didn't have to pay and it's just the hard dive they have to re-places! Which is kinda sad cuz I lose all my stuff I had saved on my computer! But it was a blessing that it's so easy to fix! But we have to go back to pick it up on Sunday!

Thursday- another Nursing home at noon but in Ny, Ny! Which was fun cuz we got to take the subway to the Show, always fun to take the Subway!

Friday- We drove back down to NJ for a Prison Show which is the 1st out of 3 that were doing at this prison, but that's next week! This is the largest Prison in NJ, that's why were spending 3 days there! We did some plays that the guys just loved it really hit them hard on Forgiveness! It was such a great show!

Saturday- I awoke at 6am to work on lines for a 7 page play were I have lots a speechs! Then went to block the play at 9! Then headed out back to brookyln for our show 2morow! Please pray I'm playing Mary Magdala and the lines are not coming to me at all! The whole servies is around this play too! Please pray that my lines will come to me as I work on them 2 night!

THE WEEK OF REST!!!

Sunday- We went to small Church hugging the ocean line of New Jersey! It's was so pretty, Suzy and me stayed with the Pastor (who was German) and his wife! Larry and Don went and stayed on the beach in someone beach house, lucky! Any who, it was a small church with about 50 members. We did 3 plays which in those three plays i got the last role i needed for 75 roles!! That's right from the start of me being in CP i now have 75 roles in plays that i know! Which is really cool, this is like the 1st rep level u can make in CP, with many more to come hopefully. After are show we went back to our host had some rest and did some paper work!

Monday- We headed out to have some fellowship with some other CP'ers, which was really cool! We meet in the middle of Pennsylvania! That was a fun we meet up with the team at a Wendy's and went a little Goodwill shopping after! It was just a good little break to catch up with other CP'ers! Then after our meeting we headed to our host home in New Jersey, to one of my favorite host (she the host that baked me a b-day cake on my b-day)! But by the time we got to our host home i ended up feeling not so good! I had gotten sick again!!! Ug.. this time with a cold, which wasn't that bad but the fact i had NO VOICE! All tell you this for an Actor to loss her voice,it's like a Dancer with Two Broken legs!

Tuesday- So waking up this Morning not my favorite thing, i had a nose full of snot and voice that would not speak! So my UL (Larry) and me made the choices of Leaving me at the Host Home For two days until i got better while they headed out for NYC and did the Nursing Home show we had that day! So sick + unhappy, i waved goodbye to my unit with a sad look on my face! As i spent the next to days BORED AND HELPLESS!!!

Wednesday- Slept, blew nose, watched a movie,Cough Drops, blew nose, Slept, eat a little, blew nose, cough drop, slept, movie, blew, eat a little, internet, T.V., Slept!

Thursday- Slept until 2 pm, got up, blew, Cough drop, packed bag, eat. Then larry came by and picked me up and we took the train from NJ to Queen, NY! Then went to that host home said my Hi's to the Unit then pasted out!

Friday- Got up Slowly and started working on plays lines, blocking, and all that Jazz! Then around lunch we had another Playdate to go to but My voice still really weak i didn't go and again i waved goodbye as they went off and did another show without me (tear)! It felt like it had been months that i hadn't Perfromed just after one week! I hated it so much, i wasn't doing what i loved to do, what i was made to do... it felt wrong!

Saturday- I wake up with a little more Hop in my step,ready for the PD's too begain! So we got up and headed out back to New Jersey.. to head to our Sunday PD! We showed up to the church and reshared about 2 hours! Then had a great Church pot luck and did some papper work after!

To put the week in few words it would be... SICK, SLOW, LEFT BEHIND!
I Hated this week it Never ended it just dragged on forever! But it was good that it was slow because we have a show EVERYDAY FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS! This is our busyist time around Easter! So please just Pray for Stress, Lines, Good PD's, and happness on the Unit!

O and just to let everyone know, I'm very Proud i have gone almost 40 days without Soda for lent! I have only 2 weeks left.. i've so proud of myself it's like the 1st time i've done somthing and stuck with it for lent! If There's somthing you gave up for lent, i would LOVE to hear about it? What you gave up? How you feel without having that anymore? Was it hard for u to give up? Please I would love to hear your story about this Lent year! Thanks!

My Internet Stick is Still Broken! Ug...

Sunday- We Started out in Springfield, NJ and did a 4 person major becuz as i said we now have a 4 person unit!
(His name is Don Mohane he has joined our unit from the Great Rivers Unit! He is in his 50's and was in Cp when he was much younger and became a pastor after leaving CP! Now he has felt the lord call him back to CP after Many Years this is his 1st mission back!)
Any who, Sunday we did a 10 page play about an angle coming and helping this Man understand the changes u make when u become a Christian, it's called "What's this about Wineskins." it was a great play went over very well. Then after Church we went back to our host home and took an Hour off and then Started rehearsal and Paper Work!

Monday- We woke at 6 AM, i know hard for u to believe that Sam Smith Actually knows what time that is and woke up at that hour! But we headed out of NJ and for Brooklyn, NY! We got there around 8:30ish and started our show at 9:00 for a Lutheran School! We did K-2nd our 1st show and 2nd show was 3rd-8th! We got finished around 2:00pm and headed for our host home! Then had Rehearsal for a few hours, had dinner, then headed to bed early for our next long 3 days!

Tuesday- We started the day at 7:30 and headed for a Geek School! Where it was a long day of 5 shows from 8:30- 2:30! We did 2 different Programs, we did 1 show 4 times for 4th and 3rd graders then did another show for the 2nd greaders!

Wednesday- We were up at 7:15 and headed out for another day at the Greek School! Another day of 5 shows for the K-2nd from 8:30-2:30! Doing 1 show for the K and 1st graders and another for the 2nd! After the shows we went back to our host home and i had a very special thing happen! I got to meet up in the City with a friend i knew in Germany and went to 9th graded with! Her name is Sam as well and we were like really close so it was so much to meet up with her! That was such a blessing!

Thursday- Was the same Show done 6 times for the 2nd-4th graders! It was a Longer day then the others starting at 7:15-3:00! With 6 shows non-stop all day! Then after all the Shows we drove from Brooklyn, NY to North New Jersey! With a 3 hour drive ahead of us! After that we got to our host home and ran lines to the show we had 2morow, then eat dinner and pasted out!

Friday- We were up and ready at 7:30am and headed to the All Women's Prison in New Jersey. Which i learned is the only women's prison in the state of New Jersey! Our 1st show started at 9:30 in the maximum holding part of the prison, the show went so well the best show we have had out of anywhere! Then we had lunch with the 2 chaplains then started our 2nd show at 1:00! Which was also another great show! After our long day we headed home and really Pasted out this time! Larry (UL) let us take the rest of the day off or what of the day we had left!

Saturday- We started out the day real slow at 11:00, Yaaaa can u believe that it was the 1st time this mission i have slept past 9:00! Thats just so crazy to think about, Miss crazy sleep in girl waking up early! But any way, We woke up and headed for another part of New Jersey! We got here around 2:00 pm headed for the Church and Rehearsed for an hour or so! Then Head to our host home, dinner and now i'm Typing my blog and watching Savior!

So thats the low down for our VERY LONG TIRING WEEK! Only God Helped us through the week and Thank God its over now! Please Keep up the prayers for health for our Unit our bodies our just screaming for rest right now but we don't have time for it! Thank You very much for ur Prayers, I always am think of u all and ur prayers! U are a great part of what i do and i'm very Thankful for that!
